Mark Sibthorpe

Mark is the founder of FSIM.ca as well as Banknews.tv, a Canadian news aggregation and analytics company for banks, insurance and fintech/insuretech companies. He is a Credit and Loyalty expert with mobile payments and banking experience dating back to 2001. More recently, Mark worked with leading industry experts to build a coalition credit and loyalty program for 10 large retailers with an estimated $4 bn in transactions per year. In 2009 and 2010, Mark was part of a partnership that revolutionized payments in the bankruptcy trustee industry by migrating 900 bankruptcy trustees from cheques to electronic payments, generating an estimated US$2 bn in deposits. Mark has led several high profile digital projects involving Netscape, Siemens, Bank Tokyo Mitsubishi and others. Mark’s specialty is the optimizing of payments, loyalty and credit cards strategies. Amongst several other achievements, he has published several articles and very recently, a book on Mobile Payments to help businesses build strategies related to mobile payments, credit and loyalty.
