Challenge: Making Workforce Decisions More Objective
Following a mind-stretching session with Nathan Claire’s performance engineers, the Human Capital Management (HCM) team of a large Insurance & Investment conglomerate sought to bring more objectivity to decisions around staffing, knowledge gaps, training, capacity planning, and performance appraisals using operational and application data.
Implementation: Instrumenting Applications to Understand Staff Performance
In partnership with the technology teams, Nathan Claire instrumented the various frontend applications used by staff to capture data on engagement, productivity, turnaround times, over- and under-utilization, internal SLA breaches, and blockers such as unoptimized processes, system faults, or underperforming technical teams.
Predictive Insights: Proactive Talent Management and Performance Monitoring
With this data, the HCM team is now able to predict skill shortages, receive alerts when recruitment or training should be triggered, review productivity trends, and compare team or individual performance against organizational benchmarks for appraisals and planning.
Outcome: Improved HR Efficiency and Staff Experience
Benefits include improved human capital management, lower recruitment and training costs, improved staff morale, increased productivity, reduced attrition, and greater alignment of people strategies with business performance.
